Profound is an excellent FDA-approved choice for patients who desire to improve body cellulite and tighten the skin’s appearance.
How Profound Body works:
The Profound SubQ handpiece penetrates the fat and cellulite that are below the epidermis and dermis layers of skin. The Profound is minimally invasive and uses fractional radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device to reduce cellulite and promote the body’s natural production of elastin, collagen and hyarulonic acid to tighten and smooth the skin.
The Profound SubQ device uses a combination of micro needles that are scientifically designed to penetrate the surface of the skin as a specific angle and at a specific depth to target the subcutaneous layer of fat just below the skin. The needles are then heated to a specific temperature that causes “damage” to the deep layers of skin. The body naturally begins to “heal” and produces elastin, collagen and hyarulonic acid which aids in the reduction of cellulite and in the tightening of the skin in that area.
Until recently, one of the most difficult issues to treat was cellulite. There are hundreds of products on the market such as creams and oils that claim to effectively treat cellulite. The new Profound SubQ Cellulite treatment has changed all that. This revolutionary treatment enables you to sculpt your body, decrease cellulite and effectively reduce the signs left behind by the aging process such as loose and saggy skin. The procedure uses radio frequency to help eliminate cellulite on numerous areas of your body such as Inner and Outer Thighs, and Buttocks.
What to Expect
Before your Profound treatment, your aesthetic professional will apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment area, followed by an injection of numbing medicine. Then, the Profound device will be passed over your thighs. The device contains five pairs of microneedles with electrodes delivering radiofrequency energy directly into your skin and tissue.
The bumpy appearance of cellulite is caused by the connective bands of fibrous tissue (septae) that are present within the natural fatty layer just below the skin. As the septae tighten, they pull downward on the skin, creating an uneven, dimpled appearance.
FDA Cleared Cellulite Treatment
Profound SubQ Treatment for Cellulite is minimally invasive and uses fractional radiofrequency (RF) microneedling device. Syneron-Candela, the makers of Profound SubQ, has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for its Profound device when using the SubQ handpiece and cartridge to improve the appearance of cellulite as supported by clinical trials.
A clinical study was recently conducted regarding this procedure. The results revealed an improvement in the severity of the cellulite for both irregularities and dimples. After twelve weeks, there was an improvement of 94 percent in the thighs. After six months, the thighs still showed an improvement of 93 percent. The treatment is a good option if you are interested in cellulite reduction with minimal downtime.
